The Relationship Between the Duration of Gadget Use and Emotional and Hyperactivity-Inattention Behavior in Adolescent

Backgrounds Adolescence is a physical and mental development period that various factors could influence. Aims This research aims to determine the relationship between duration of gadget use emotional symptoms hyperactivity disorder in adolescents. Methods cross-sectional study with quantitative approach using Strengths & Difficulties Questionnaire (SDQ) adolescents’ hyperactivity-inattention behavior. correlational which 142 students at SMA Negeri 4 Wajo Regency selected as subjects. We analyze data Chi-Square test significance level 5%. Results The results indicate p-value amount 0.062 (emotional symptoms) 0.170 (hyperactivity disorder). Emotional >0.05 (more than 0.05). Conclusion From this research, there are differences groups different symptoms, well adolescents, but they were statistically insignificant.
